This Privacy Policy explains how AHMED ALREFAAY EGYPT GROUP FOR RENT SHALET ("we", "us", "the Company"), the operator of the Shate2 mobile application and this website, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our services.

1. Who we are

Shate2 is a coastal short-stay rental marketplace operated by AHMED ALREFAAY EGYPT GROUP FOR RENT SHALET, a company registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt. For any privacy matter you can reach us at support@alrefaaygroup.com or +20 120 008 7777.

2. Data we collect

Account data: your full name, phone number, email address and password when you register as a guest (customer) or host (owner). Booking data: the properties you view and book, stay dates, number of nights, totals in EGP, coupons applied, and refund requests. Host data: listing details (property name, description, photos, location, amenities, prices), availability calendars, earnings and withdrawal requests, and account details you provide for payouts. Payment data: when you pay by transfer you may upload a payment screenshot; card payments are processed by our payment providers — we do not store full card numbers. Location data: if you grant permission, your device location is used to show nearby properties. You can use the app without it by setting a location manually. Device data: device identifiers and push-notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) so we can send booking updates.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to create and secure your account (including OTP phone verification), process bookings and payments, connect guests and hosts for confirmed bookings, review listings before publishing, handle refunds under our Cancellation & Refund Policy, send transactional notifications, provide customer support, and improve the app (aggregate analytics).

4. Sharing

We share data only as needed to run the service: hosts see the guest details of their bookings (name, phone, dates, totals); guests see host/listing-agent details of properties they book; payment providers receive what they need to process your payment; and infrastructure providers (e.g. Firebase for notifications, AppMetrica for analytics) process limited technical data on our behalf. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention

We keep your data while your account is active and as long as needed for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution purposes. Booking records are retained per Egyptian commercial-record requirements.

6. Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Profile Information inside the app ("If you want to delete your account — Click here"), or by emailing support@alrefaaygroup.com. Deletion removes your personal data except records we are legally required to keep.

7. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Access to personal data is limited to authorised staff. Authentication uses tokens that are revoked when you log out or your session expires.

8. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing, by contacting support@alrefaaygroup.com. We respond within 30 days.

9. Children

Shate2 is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are announced in the app and on this page, with the "Last updated" date revised above.
